In alkaline circuits, it skillfully avoids pyrite and other iron sulfide minerals, whereas, in neutral or acidic conditions, it becomes a powerful, non-selective collector for all sulfide minerals. Given its slight solubility in water, Dithiophosphate 25 must be dispensed in its original form directly into the conditioner or ball mill.
